• Make It a Habit Our World Needs

We at Eco-Eats® Partyware enjoy a great party, but we also feel it's important to have a healthy respect and awareness of the environment by making good choices on products that we choose to use. It's about leaving a legacy, inspiring others to become involved, and making a difference no matter how large or small. It is up to us as businesses, consumers and stewards of the earth to seek alternatives to everyday consumption choices, that will help minimize our carbon footprint on the environment and help create a better and sustainable world. Everyone can make a difference. It just takes desire and the willingness to change. Eco-Eats® embraces this concept and way of life by using renewable and sustainable resources in our products and partnering up with other businesses that live by the same philosophy.

    My Story

How did Plate-A-Cup® by Eco-Eats® Partyware come to be? That's the question I'm constantly being asked. Like how most products and businesses are conceived, I created Plate-A-Cup® trying to solve a problem.

In my lifetime, I've been blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and friends. Lucky for me, these loved ones also like to cook and entertain just like I do.  Whether I was at a home party or a public event, there was always one central dilemma that came up. It involved three most very important components and one major issue:  plate, beverage, eating...and how do I handle all three the same time? If there was a place to set down my drink, I would frequently lose track of which one was mine. At the end of every party, I was always dumping abandoned and misplaced drinks down the drain. That was money going down the drain.  I realized it was a common problem that needed to be solved.

Between 2009 and 2010, I had a couple of unforeseen personal tragedies in my life. These experiences made me realize how precious life was and gave me a sense of urgency to live life to the fullest. I had always wanted to start a business of my own and I thought back about that age-old problem that needed a solution.  I was a stay-home-mom with no business experience; but being that I was raised by a single mom of seven children for most of my childhood, I learned to be resourceful, resilient and determined. I spent every waking hour the next year and half learning as much as I could about starting a business and developing a product.  At the end of 2012, I launched my product Plate-A-Cup®!

It has been a very challenging journey, but exhilarating at the same time to get to where I'm at.  I've embraced all my challenges and am very thankful to the family and friends that have been so supportive of me; and even strangers that took time out of their busy lives to mentor me along the way. My wish is for more consumers to be aware and inspired to use green alternatives in their everyday consumption, and to see Eco-Eats® Partyware products be a part of many celebrations and good memories.

“I like this product and I don’t like everything. Before you even started I said I need this product”
~ Ken Rutkowski, Los Angeles radio talk show host of Business Rockstars

“The plates were great! We used them last night, and we were very happy with them. People were reluctant to throw them away, because they are so nice!”
~ Lisa Boissier, J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines

“Impressed with these...have used lots of sugarcane products that were not this well made. I think your prices are a huge reason some of these event planners may switch over. Bamboo in the past has been spendy...and sugarcane was not well made.”
~ Chef Dustin DesJardins, DCS Taste of Paso
